What woman or man for that matter, can not get excited about pantry space. Even if you don’t need all the space that you see, somehow it will fill up.
When we remodeled our house, I had, what I thought, was a large pantry built into the space. I love the idea of pantries and their capability to store extra food, that really big stock pot that you only use once a year. The dog food containers, broom, vacuum hose….the list goes on and on. Well, like most people I really thought that the space would never fill up, but sure enough, it is full. Alas…my husband says he will not remodel the house again for me to have an even larger pantry. So I must clean it out and purge some things that we just really do not need.
If you are in the market for remodeling your kitchen and do not have the ability to steal space from someplace else for that desired pantry, build them into your kitchen. There are some very clever and useful cabinet options that you can design into your space for the added storage.
